Weekly photo challenge: RenewalWeekly Photo Challenge: Renewal

10 Nov

The week’s photo challenge is on “Renewal“. “Share a picture that means RENEWAL to you!” they say.

There is nothing that symbolizes Renewal for me than the sun – the sunup and the sundown.

Sunup is a renewal of a new day – anything can happen, things new and old will unfold. It’s a renewal of hope.

Sundown: Especially when I’m having a difficult day, I just want the sun to set. Once I read something like this –>

Courage isn’t always a roar; sometimes it is a soft whisper at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.

Sundown gives me that courage, to start anew/ afresh tomorrow.

What does renewal mean to you?

SUNDAY POST : Toys

14 Oct

Always *better late than never*

I’ve kind of lost track of time/ days/ weeks… reasons unknown. However, I’m trying to rise to the challenge presented by Jakes, the theme is TOYS [click for details].

For a person like me [who even as a child found playing with “toys” pretty childish], this week’s challenge was pretty challenging. Besides, I’m a very phasal person [phasal = going through one phase to another in a quick succession], so I am quite unable to pin down toy TOY.

So, what’s a toy? A toy is any object that can be used to play [Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy]. Next question: What do I play with?

I go out with friends and play this, at times. Is it a toy? I don’t know…

toy? really??

Some more things I play with… I normally/ actually play with: my iPhone. I also play music on my iPod. And lastly, here’s my favourite toy – the one that’s been extremely handy in helping me earn me MANY *like*s and so it’s time to acknowledge:

The CAMERA!

It’s not me, there. I took the picture 🙂

So what’s your interpretation?

SUNDAY POST

Sunday Post: Autumn

19 Sep

One more weekly challenge given by Jake here –>  http://jakesprinters.wordpress.com/2012/09/15/sunday-post-autumn/

I love autumn because it’s the harbinger of winter – the season I love the most. Autumn… the falling leaves, the trees that change colours are some amazing phenomena of this season… this is the first time I’ve clicked autumn [and I’m still trying to get the right pho’os]. Here are 2 of them ONLY because I don’t want to run late for submission.

Brace yourselves, here I go…

SUNDAY POST: Morning

8 Sep

Just after I made my first sumbission to SUNDAY POST: Reflection, it’s already time for another SUNDAY POST: Morning…. I’m not a morning person, so this one’s the most difficult post I have had to work on… 😀

Check Jake’s amazing morning photos here –> http://jakesprinters.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/sunday-post-morning/

For me, a morning is completely incomplete without a cup of tea…

that’s TEA, trust me 🙂

and a little stretch [for exercise], I’m lazy to the BONE 😀

my morning stretch. I know the picture is bad and it’s only because I’m not the photographer 😉

Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far

7 Sep

I’m not a photographer ~ no, not even an amateur. I just click photos when I travel. I’m soon going to abide by the tips given in http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/09/07/weekly-photo-challenge-near-and-far/ and try posting better pictures…. Well, until then here’s how I see NEAR and FAR.

the hike’s just begun. The bridge is NEAR but destination a little FAR.

behold the bird is NEAR but getting FAR away…
