I’m so glad I’ve joined the blogging community and I’m thankful for the many challenges thrown in by WordPress. I”m really grateful for all the “likes” and the “follows”, they are quite the motivation. I’m thankful for bloggers who’ve been very encouraging, very supportive – making me feel completely at home in this little screen and also making me cheat on my life in solitude ;).
I’m thankful for certain friends and certain members of my family who wouldn’t take No for an answer and make their presence felt with their regular one-way emails :sighs:
And now, AS a response to the Weekly Photo Challenge, here are a few of my photos that scream out “BE THANKFUL“.
I’m thankful for each day – happy or sad. For happy days, I’m thankful for the sunrise – “Good time’s just begun” it says.
For not-so-happy days, I’m thankful for the sunset – “It’s over” the message I see in it.
I read this somewhere once:
A person asks a wise sage, “What is one line that when a happy person reads it makes em sad and when a sad person reads it makes em happy?”
Wise sage: This too shall pass.
I’m thankful for my shoes that take me places, I’m thankful that there’s a pair of shoes that only I can fit in.
I’m thankful for the food I get to eat everyday and ever more thankful for the once-in-a-blue-moon threat-to-my-staying-in-shape-project desserts.
The week’s photo challenge is on “Renewal“. “Share a picture that means RENEWAL to you!” they say.
There is nothing that symbolizes Renewal for me than the sun – the sunup and the sundown.
Sunup is a renewal of a new day – anything can happen, things new and old will unfold. It’s a renewal of hope.
Sundown: Especially when I’m having a difficult day, I just want the sun to set. Once I read something like this –>
Courage isn’t always a roar; sometimes it is a soft whisper at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.
Sundown gives me that courage, to start anew/ afresh tomorrow.
What does renewal mean to you?
Shapes mean geometry to me. On a second thought, geometry means shapes to me – shapes… So here are my triangles, squares and triangles in squares.
Thanks to the Weekly Photo Challenge, I’ve just got a post for NaBloPoMo.
The photo challenge for this week is http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/10/26/weekly-photo-challenge-foreign/
I am single and a teetotaler. So what could make me feel more foreign than…. these!!!
Let me make it krystal klear – the sash on the *lady* says “BRIDE TO BE”… then you know the greens!
YOU can find more foreign stuff here!!!
I must have woken up on the right side of the bed FINALLY… Imagine waking up to a writer’s block and then pulling my hair for a long time… and then finding the week’s Photo Challenge: Silhouette – my all time favourite subject [in terms of amateur photography]… Now imagine how happy I must be.
I wanted to start this post with a jump, so I did. Now here’s the real deal.
Love the theme and this is the second time I’ve been blessed with the silhouette challenge – the first time. On top of that I’ve been quite taken with the gallery since this.
Even though, sky’s the limit… I am off-limits when it comes to clicking the azure… totally obsessed! The other day, a friend borrowed my camera to check the pics… halfway he got bored saying “All it’s got is sky, sky and more skies”
Here’s another weekly challenge, the theme if BIG http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/weekly-photo-challenge-big/
So here’s my small attempt at posting BIG photos…
Wonder if the first pic is BIG enough to be here? For you to decide…
she’s got the BIG fish 😉
when I read, I DO
wonder what’s BIG in this pic??
